If you are wanting to begin your own pre-school please read the following document carefully which can be found on the Department of Welfare website. (http://www.dsd.gov.za/) This document pertains to the guidelines required when registering an ECD site. Guidelines for Early Childhood Development In starting your own pre-school you will have to make contact with two departments: Firstly, the Department of Welfare (local social worker) and secondly the Department of Education (provincial representative).
